Canopy Product Warranty
Thank you for choosing Canopy! We are committed to providing you with high-quality products that meet your needs and expectations. This Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions of our warranty coverage to ensure your satisfaction and peace of mind.
1. Warranty Coverage
a. Canopy offers two (2) product warranties that cover defects in materials and workmanship:
-
The standard Canopy 12 Month Limited Warranty covers all units, comes with every purchase of a Canopy Humidifier (Bedside, Nursery, Portable, or Large Room), Showerhead, Diffuser, or Air Purifier and lasts for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.
-
The Canopy Lifetime Protection Plan is an extended service contract available to customers who maintain an active eligible subscription (see Section 2.2). The Lifetime Protection Plan is a service contract and is not a written warranty under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
b. Coverage is applicable only to products purchased directly from Canopy (getcanopy.co) or authorized resellers. Proof of purchase, such as a receipt or order confirmation, is required to submit a claim.
c. Both the 12 Month Limited Warranty and the Lifetime Protection Plan are non-transferable and apply only to the original U.S. consumer or, in the case of a gift, the original U.S. recipient of the product.
2. Activation & Eligibility
a. Every Canopy unit (Bedside Humidifier, Nursery Humidifier, Portable Humidifier, Large Room Humidifier, Showerhead, and Diffuser) is covered by a 12 Month Limited Warranty which is automatically activated upon purchase. No registration is required.
b. To be eligible for the Canopy Lifetime Protection Plan, the Customer must have an active Aroma Subscription created at the time of purchase or added to the account at a later date.
-
The Lifetime Protection Plan is only valid for the specific product associated with the active eligible subscription and is non-transferable to other products or individuals.
-
Subscription Eligibility is defined as an active Aroma Subscription where the customer has received a minimum of two (2) refills per six (6) months of activation.
-
Coverage under the Lifetime Protection Plan requires an active eligible subscription at the time of the claim. If the subscription lapses or is cancelled, coverage under the Lifetime Protection Plan is suspended until the subscription is reactivated. The 12 Month Limited Warranty remains unaffected.

The following Canopy products are covered under this policy:

4. Claims Process
a. If you believe your Canopy product is defective and qualifies for coverage, please contact our Customer Experience team within the applicable coverage period. You can reach us via email at [email protected].
b. Our Customer Experience team will guide you through the claims process, which may include providing additional information, troubleshooting steps, or submitting photographs or videos to assess the issue.
c. If the issue cannot be resolved remotely, our Customer Experience team will provide instructions for returning the product. Canopy will cover standard return shipping costs for valid warranty claims within the continental United States. For Lifetime Protection Plan claims, the customer is responsible for return shipping unless otherwise specified.
5. Claims Determination
a. Upon receiving your returned product, our team will inspect and evaluate the reported issue.
b. If the issue is determined to be covered, we will, at our discretion, either repair or replace the product, or provide a refund of the original purchase price.
c. The decision regarding repair, replacement, or refund will be based on factors such as the nature of the defect, availability of replacement parts, and current product stock.
d. In cases where the product or a specific component is discontinued or unavailable, Canopy reserves the right to replace the product or component with a similar item of equal or greater value.
e. Units covered under the Lifetime Protection Plan may only be replaced once every twelve (12) months.
6. Exclusions
Neither the 12 Month Limited Warranty nor the Lifetime Protection Plan will cover damage or defects resulting from:
-
Units that have been lost, stolen, or disposed of.
-
Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic damage and discoloration, where the unit is still functioning.
-
Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, abuse, negligence, unauthorized modifications, or improper installation of the product.
-
Damage caused by failure to follow the product’s instructions, warnings, or maintenance guidelines provided by Canopy.
-
Repairs or modifications performed by unauthorized persons.
-
Accidental damage, acts of nature, or any external causes beyond our control.
-
Products that have been used for commercial purposes or in a manner inconsistent with their intended residential use.
7. Limitation of Liability
a. To the extent permitted by law, Canopy’s liability under these warranties and service contracts is limited to the original purchase price of the product.
b. In no event shall Canopy be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, punitive, or special damages arising out of or in connection with the product, its use, or any coverage provided under this policy, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
c. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This policy gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
8. Dispute Resolution
a. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of a warranty or protection plan claim, please contact our Customer Experience team at [email protected] to request a supervisory review.
b. If the dispute cannot be resolved through our internal process, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Either party may also bring claims in small claims court if the claim qualifies.
c. Any arbitration or small claims proceeding shall be conducted on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.
9. Changes to This Policy
a. Canopy reserves the right to modify this policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective for products purchased after the date the updated policy is published on our website.
b. Products purchased prior to a policy update will continue to be governed by the version of the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
c. The current version of this policy will always be available at getcanopy.co/pages/product-warranty.
