This has been a great product for my son who only needs a small humidifier for his bedroom. We’ve just learned through a couple of moves that it has to be handled delicately or it quits working. We did go through the troubleshooting steps and did have to have a new one sent which canopy was easy to work with on this.

Perfect size, easy to fill. Great-looking.
But, water beads along the grate and then leaks down the outside. Puddles of water around the base, even at lowest setting — and this at a mile above sea level. Ridiculous.

I'm sorry to hear about the water leaking and pooling you've been experiencing around the base. That's definitely not expected behavior, even at the lowest setting, and we completely understand how frustrating that must be. Water should stay contained within the unit, and what you're describing with the beading along the grate and external leaking isn't the performance we want you to have.
This sounds like it could be related to a seal or assembly issue that's allowing water to escape where it shouldn't. The altitude you mentioned shouldn't be causing this type of water leakage problem.

I have the canopy bedside humidifiers in each room to replace the moldy wet humidifiers that I was never able to fully clean. Although I love the bedside humidifiers, I needed something portable on trips as well as a more wet humidifier for my kids when sick. This little guy is great to pack along for trips. The bottom magnetic piece does fall out a lot for me. My kids also knocked it off the table when I had it opened airing out and it broke a thin piece of plastic that was inside, not sure if it was needed but it seems to still function without it. I like to use this on full blast when my kids are sick and the battery does not last. Most of the time I need to keep it plugged in to have it going until morning. The tank is a great size to last until then. My only other issue is that the lights turn off so that it doesn't distract you at night, but then you also can't see what seeing you have it set at . Overall, I am please with it.

I own two bedside humidifiers from Canopy, and I absolutely love them. However, the portable one is incredibly disappointing. It generates excessive condensation that drips down the front, resulting in a puddle of water accumulating after a few hours
