Many of our filters for humidifiers, showerheads, and bathtub or faucet cartridges are designed to last 6 months, depending on use and the size of your household. A larger family will use their bathroom fixtures more frequently than a smaller one, so they may need more frequent replacements. Similarly, a humidifier or air purifier that runs every day and treats a larger space may need a fresh filter more often.

Humidifiers have a filter indicator light that will indicate when it’s time for a change, but 45 days maximum is a good guideline. Air purifier filters work well for approximately 90 days, but again, it depends on your lifestyle. If you have pets, cook frequently, or use a fireplace, you may need to change the filter more often.

Aside from the light coming on with humidifiers, the most important sign that your filter needs to be replaced is reduced performance. Other signs to look for are discoloration of the filter material or musty odors.

Each filter’s product page will give specific information on compatibility with our devices. In general, our Air Purifiers can use any of the filters designed for purification while it’s important to get the right size for your humidifier. Bedside and Nursery models use the same size while our Large Room Humidifiers use a different, bigger filter that is not compatible with other models.

When you sign up for a subscription, you’ll gain access to our lowest prices on filter refills. Once your subscription is set up, refills ship automatically based on our recommended schedule, so you can focus on more important things. But we get it, everyone’s home environment and usage are different! You can always skip, reschedule, or adjust the quantity of filters you receive in each subscription refill from your Account Page.

 Humidifier models include a built-in filter light that signals when it's time to change the filter, making it easy to stay on schedule. Bedside and Nursery Humidifiers use the same filters, which should be replaced every 45 days. Replacement filters for humidifiers are available individually or in bundles up to 8, an excellent value for a year’s worth of filters.

We recommend our updated Filter 2.0 for Bedside and Nursery models, which uses the same wicking paper as the original but now has an added pre-filter layer to trap dust and larger particles from the air to stop dust before it reaches your fan.* For the Large Room Humidifier, make sure you restock the correct size filter.
