What does it filter out?

The Canopy filtered shower head has been tested to ANSI/NSF-177 standards to reduce chlorine and other contaminants. The ingredients in our filtering media have been shown to help reduce chlorine, magnesium, calcium carbonate, iron, hydrogen sulfide, mercury, chromium, and chloramine.4

Why should I shower in filtered water?

Your skin and hair deserve better than unfiltered water. The Canopy Filtered showerhead is pro-stylist approved for healthy-looking skin and softer hair.

How is it different from competitors?

The Canopy Filtered Showerhead is the only showerhead with:

  • Winged handle that makes install a breeze
  • Quick release filter replacement, so you don't have to detach it from the wall every time you want to change your filter
  • Three stream settings for the ideal shower experience
  • Aroma diffusion using our new Felt Diffuser, so you’ll have that fresh eucalyptus scent available without having to run to the store

When & how do I change the filter?

We recommend replacing your filter every 90 days by pushing the lip of the showerhead upwards, removing & unscrewing face, tossing out the old & placing in the new filter inside

Will it fit in my shower?

It sure will! We created the Canopy Filtered Showerhead to fit the standard 1/2-inch thread size for modern-day US plumbing fixtures, including fixed, adjustable, rain, handheld and dual shower fixture set.

See here for more information and examples of how the showerhead fits in different setups.

How do I use Canopy Aromas in the shower?

Drip 15 drops of your desired oil on the Felt Diffuser or into the shower directly for a quick burst of aroma, and hang freely in your shower. Enjoy!

I like the product, but the subscription experience was frustrating. I tried to cancel within minutes of ordering, but couldn’t, and was charged the subscription fee anyway. Now I have four of these, so I guess I’ll be using them over the next year.

I love this filtered shower head!

I’ve had several different filtered shower heads over the years, both expensive and not, but I have to give kudos to this one. I moved into an apartment and the water here has dried out my skin. My hair dried out and the curl pattern has also been affected even with my old filtered showerhead. I bought this one and my skin & hair are soft again and my curl pattern is back. It’s also getting thicker! The pressure is full which is a big plus since most filtered heads have diminished pressure. I highly recommend!

    Doesn’t fit my shower

Water pressure ok, doesn’t fit in my shower, sprays on the back wall but was hoping it would make a difference for my hair so stuck with it. I did not see a difference at all after 4 months.

    Hi Amanda,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that the Handheld Filtered Showerhead didn’t fit your shower setup as you’d hoped, and that you didn’t notice the difference in your hair that you were looking for after using it for four months.

We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to work around the fitting issue while also not experiencing the results you expected. We really appreciate you sticking with it and giving the showerhead a fair try despite those challenges.

For context, the Canopy Handheld Showerhead is designed to provide 1.8 gallons per minute (GPM), which is intentionally designed to offer a comfortable, water-efficient shower experience. Some customers do notice a difference in flow compared with a higher-flow showerhead they may have used previously. This is part of the product’s design rather than a defect, but we absolutely want to make sure you’re getting the best experience possible.

A few things can also make the water pressure feel softer than expected:

Filter age: If your filter is approaching or past the 90-day mark, or appears discolored or clogged, the added resistance can noticeably reduce flow. Replacing it with a fresh filter is the quickest way to determine whether the filter is contributing to the issue.
Faceplate buildup: Mineral deposits can build up in the spray nozzles over time and reduce flow. To clean the faceplate, remove it and set the silicone gaskets aside, then soak the faceplate in white vinegar for 20–30 minutes. Gently scrub the nozzles with a soft brush or toothbrush, then rinse thoroughly. You can also place the faceplate in the dishwasher if you have one.
Household water pressure: If your home’s water pressure is generally on the lower side, that can feel more noticeable with a low-flow showerhead.

We also understand that you experienced fitting and leaking issues with the showerhead. One of our team members will be reaching out to you shortly to help troubleshoot the fit and leaking and work toward a solution.

Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we’re sorry the product hasn’t met your expectations so far. We hope we can help get things working properly and provide you with a better experience.

Thank you again for being a Canopy customer, Amanda.
