"As a pediatrician and mom, I've seen how the right humidity can make a big difference in comfort and sleep for little ones, especially when they're sick."6
“Evaporative humidifiers can help reduce cold symptoms... They also soothe dry, itchy skin, helping to create the right environment for a newborn or a young child. It's critical to keep the humidifier clean and free from mold, so a humidifier specifically designed for cleanliness really resonates with me.”6
FAQs
How do I use the Canopy Baby Sound Machine + Aroma?
We designed the Sound Machine to be as simple and intuitive as possible. Hold the power button down for 2 seconds to turn on, then use the sound button just below it to cycle through the 15 built-in sounds. Adjust volume with the plus and minus buttons to find your preferred level.
If you're using it at bedtime, you can set an auto shut-off by pressing the clock icon at the top. Each press cycles through the three timer options: 30, 60, or 90 minutes. The indicator lights at the bottom will illuminate to show which you've selected.
For the night light, tap the sun-shaped light button once to turn on red light (designed to avoid disrupting sleep), twice to switch to white light (bright enough to read by, or dim enough to navigate the room without disturbing anyone), and a third time to turn it off. While your preferred color is on, hold the button down to brighten or dim to your preference.
To add aroma, give the front cap a quarter turn to unscrew it, remove the felt diffuser, add a few drops of your oil of choice, and let it absorb for a moment before sliding it back into place. Reattach the faceplate by twisting until the markers align. Once loaded, use the aroma button (the one with three wavy lines) to swap between the two fan speeds. You'll hear a subtle shift in the fan volume to indicate whether you're on high, or low. When the fan is on the light above the button will illuminate.
To lock your settings, hold the lock button for 3 seconds. While in lock mode any time you try to make a change to your setting a tone will sound, letting you know you're in a locked state. Hold it again whenever you're ready to make a change.
How do I clean the Sound Machine?
Give the faceplate a quarter turn to remove it from the body of the device, then remove the felt diffuser. Wipe down the faceplate and the interior of the device where the aroma sits with an antibacterial wipe or damp cloth to clear any oil buildup. Allow everything to dry fully, then replace the felt diffuser and faceplate. Good as new.
A quick tip: let your oil fully absorb into the felt diffuser before inserting it to minimize residue buildup over time, and never use more than 15 drops at a time.
Do not submerge the device in water. Avoid harsh chemicals like bleach.
How do I clean the Nursery Humidifier?
The Humdifier's tank, cap, and tray can all be put in the dishwasher. Essentially, any part of the product that holds water, can go directly into the dishwasher!
Do not place the body of the Nursery Humidifier, which houses the fan, into the dishwasher as this section is where the electrical components are stored.
We recommend that you keep your Nursery Humidifier on a clean surface, to avoid dust and debris being picked up by the fan. But if you're seeing dust in the fan of your humidifier you can clean this out by using canned air to dislodge anything that may have collected on the fan or screen. After using the canned air, simply wipe the fan with a damp cloth, both on top and inside your humidifier. No need to unscrew anything!
What is the runtime on the Nursery Humidifier?
Depending on the relative humidity in your room, a full tank will last somewhere between 18 and 36 hours.
The Nursery Humidifier has been designed to run continuously until it's nearly dry inside. This helps reduce the likelihood of mold growing inside the device. For optimal performance, we recommend that you let your Humidifier's tray and filter dry completely at least once a week, this will also ensure that your filter will serve you as long as possible.
Please do not unplug your humidifier to turn it off while there is still dampness in the unit to be used.
What kind of water should I use in the Nursery Humidifier?
While most humidifiers recommend using only distilled water, you can enjoy the Nursery Humidifier with any type of water. Tap water is totally fine to use, as the filter will catch contaminants from the water before it is evaporated.
