The Canopy Humidifiers have been designed to run continuously until all of the water in the tank has been used. This reduces the likelihood of mold growing in your unit or on your filter. For optimal performance, we recommend that you let your Humidifiers' tray and filter dry completely at least once a week, this will also ensure that your filter will serve you as long as possible.
The runtime for each Canopy Humidifier varies depending on the room’s relative humidity:
The Bedside and Nursery, Large Room Humidifiers can run between 18 to 36 hours on a full tank. This time will vary based on the size and relative humidity of a room.
For the Portable Humidifier, which is the only Canopy unit with a rechargeable battery. From zero to full the battery only takes about 4 hours to charge. When fully charged, the Portable Humidifier can run for up to 11 hours on the low setting. On medium or high settings, the runtime will be reduced due to increased power consumption. For uninterrupted overnight use, we recommend keeping the Portable Humidifier plugged in.
