FAQs

Will the Inline Filter work with my showerhead?

Yes! The Canopy Inline Filter fits all standard 1/2 inch U.S. shower fixtures and works with most showerheads, including fixed, rain, and handheld styles. You keep your own showerhead, so your favorite spray patterns and flow settings stay exactly as they are. One thing to know: if your handheld showerhead’s hose connects at a wall mount, there may not be enough room to install the filter between the wall and the hose.

How do I install it?

No tools or handyman needed, and most people finish in under 5 minutes. Unscrew your showerhead from the shower arm. Wrap the shower arm threads with the plumber’s tape, included in the box. Twist the Inline Filter onto the shower arm until it feels secure. Reattach your showerhead to the Inline Filter by twisting it clockwise. Run the water for a moment and check for leaks. Your filter cartridge comes pre-installed, so you’re ready to go right away.

How often should I replace the filter, and how do I do it?

Your Inline Filter cartridge lasts for about 3,000 gallons of water. That’s roughly 180 showers, or about 3 months, depending on how many people are in your home, how often they shower, and what’s in your water. For most homes, that means replacing the cartridge every 90 days. To check whether your filter is used up, look for the brown/gold copper-zinc (KDF) layer. If it’s gone and only the black and white layers are left, it’s time for a new one.

Swapping your filter takes less than 30 seconds: twist the filter body open, swap in a new cartridge, and twist it closed. Always keep a filter installed while you use the Inline Filter.

What does the Inline Filter remove from my water?

The Inline Filter uses three types of filter media: coconut shell activated carbon, copper-zinc, and calcium sulfite. It’s tested to NSF/ANSI 177 standards to reduce chlorine and other common contaminants, so your water is cleaner and gentler on your hair and skin.

Will it lower my water pressure?

The Inline Filter sits between your shower arm and your showerhead, so you keep your showerhead’s spray patterns and flow settings. If the pressure seems lower after you install it, check that the filter is twisted on securely and seated correctly. If that doesn’t fix it, reach out and we’ll help.

Which showerhead is best for me?

Consider your preferences for showering experience and the features that matter most to you when choosing between the three Canopy options. No matter what your shower set-up is, you can use either or both options!

Canopy Filtered Showerhead: Ideal for those who prefer a standard showerhead experience. It offers three stream settings for a customized shower experience and aroma diffusion for a spa-like ambiance.

Handheld Filtered Showerhead: Perfect for individuals who want more flexibility and control during their shower. It comes with two interchangeable faceplates: standard spray nozzles and protruding nozzles.

Mini Filtered Showerhead: Best for smaller showers, lower ceilings, or anyone who wants a more compact profile. With just a 4-inch span, it delivers filtered water and strong pressure without taking up extra space.

Inline Filter: Best for anyone who loves their current showerhead! The Inline Shower Filter installs between your shower arm and your existing showerhead, so you keep your favorite spray patterns and flow settings while adding our tri-media filtration. It installs without tools, includes aroma diffusion for a spa-like shower, and is a great fit for renters, too. Its compact design only adds about 3 inches to your shower setup, but if your showerhead already sits low, the Canopy Filtered Showerhead may be the better choice.

Works Well and Makes Shower Time More Relaxing

I've been using it for about six months, and I think it has helped with my hair loss. The water pressure is slightly reduced, but overall, I've had a great experience. I initially wasn't sure I needed the aroma kits, but the bundle was a good deal, so I decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did! They make the bathroom smell geat and make shower time much more relaxing.

    Quality of Life Much Better!

Before using my Canopy Handheld Filtered Showerhead both mine and my husband had been experiencing very dry, itchy skin. No special soap, lotions or oils seemed to give any relief for more than a couple of hours. After a week of showering with the Canopy Filtered Showerhead both my husband and I noticed the tiny red bumps on our skin were going a away and by the end of 2 months neither of us had dry, itchy skin or and irritating bumps. We have noticed overall how much bettter our skin not only looks but feels! On top of that I have white hair and it seemed to have a yellow cast to it for the last couple of years. Now after using the new filtered Showerhead for 3 1/2 months that yellow cast is gone!

One last observation, our clear glass shower enclosure does not get that film on it since using the Canopy Filtered Showerhead!

    Quality of life much improved!
