The Canopy Filtered Showerheads employ a multi-layered filtration system to deliver clean, refreshing water for your shower. Our filter was designed to enhance your shower routine and promote healthier skin and hair by reducing the amount of chlorine, heavy metals, and other contaminants present in your water, and providing clean water that supports healthy skin, hair, and scalp.
The Canopy Showerhead Filter is engineered for durability and efficiency. With proper care and maintenance, a single filter can effectively filter approximately 3,000 gallons of water (roughly 180 showers).
The filter is a combination of:
- Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) - The first layer of filtration employs GAC, made from coconut shells, activated carbon is highly effective at absorbing contaminants. It effectively captures impurities and chemicals, including chlorine.
- KDF-55 (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) - A unique copper and zinc formulation that uses the basic chemical process redox to eliminate contaminants from the water. This media specializes in removing heavy metals like lead and iron.
- Calcium Sulfite - The final layer utilizes calcium sulfite to further reduce chlorine and other water-soluble heavy metals. Calcium Sulfite reacts with the chlorine in the water to achieve de-chlorination at 99% effectiveness.
The Filter has undergone rigorous internal testing to NSF-177 standards. This ensures that the filtration system effectively reduces impurities and provides a high-quality shower experience.
And yes, you can use our Filter with both the Canopy Filtered Showerhead and the Handheld Filtered Showerhead. We designed both showerhead options to use the same filter to allow for convenient filter replacement and maintenance, ensuring consistent water quality regardless of which showerhead you choose.
